Hello and Welcome!
My name is Dena Bishop. I have currently been the Library Media Specialist at the high for two years. I have been with Talladega City School's system for seven years with the first five year I worked at Zora Ellis Junior High School as the Libray Media Specialist. I have been working in the field of education for 21 years. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade for a total 12 years before joining the Talladega City School District.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood add-on from Jacksonville State University.
- Master's in LIbrary Media from Jacksonville State University.
- Educational Specialist Degree in Library Media from the University of West Alabama.
- Certification in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama.
- Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of Montevallo.
I would like to know what type, genre, etc. of books you like to read. I have purchased a few new books for our Media Center come by and "check them out." If you do not see a book of your interest please let me know. This way we can work together to build a big and better range of literature for all students.
